Overlapping is the title of the design staging set up inside Fay flagship store during Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone 2017.
Overlapping represents the main concern around which the idea of overwriting a sequences of combined geometries, shapes and colours into brand spaces comes to life, able to establish a dialogue with aesthetic and technical contents of the S/S 2017 Collection, presented during this event.
Fashion and design of ‘70s become the clear figurative reference from which the game of interference develops; according to this mood, NCB wanted to honor Joe Colombo and his genius, perfect interpreter about that period of experiments and languages mix, by using his graphic trait found in the technical draws that Colombo signed for the Hoecht stand staging inside the Dusseldorf plastic exhibition in 1970 – reproduced in the Collection Design Icons of Amini JC-Isola carpets.
This project have been shared together with Giulio Marelli and Scene Mediterranee, who realized site-specificfurnitures, accessories and complements suitably designed by NCB, as well as the artistic featuring of photographer Matteo Cremonini, who edited some pictures of his Playboy private collection inspired from 70’s typographical patterns.
